Care Technician

Job Summary

The Care Technician is responsible for responding promptly to guest maintenance requests and ensuring excellent communication with guests to resolve repairs efficiently. This role involves performing preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubricating them, and conducting regular visual inspections to ensure functionality. The technician must manage and operate equipment including shut-off valves, maintain an inventory of supplies, requisition parts as necessary, and keep thorough records of ongoing issues before shift changes.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests and communicate effectively with guests to resolve issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating tools and equipment.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machinery visually to detect any faults.
• Carry necessary equipment like tools and radios to job sites.
• Identify, locate, and operate all relevant equipment shut-off valves.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and request parts or supplies when needed.
• Document details for any unresolved maintenance tasks before shift handover.
• Comply with all company safety and security policies; report hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete required safety training and certification courses.
• Store flammable materials safely as per guidelines.
• Maintain professionalism through clean appearance and adherence to company standards.
• Ensure confidentiality of proprietary company information and protect company assets.
• Greet guests following company protocols and anticipate their service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Support quality standards and foster positive working relationships with team members.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving or lifting objects up to 50 pounds, using stairs, ramps, or ladders, and reaching overhead or below knees with bending and twisting movements.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Educational background from a technical, trade, or vocational school.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant maintenance or technical role.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific licenses or certifications mandated.
