About The Role

The Helier by Oceania offers luxurious retirement living in the heart of St Heliers, focused on delivering exceptional clinical support and compassionate care. We are seeking a dedicated Care Associate passionate about outstanding clinical work and enhancing resident experiences in a unique private aged care setting in New Zealand.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Nurse in delivering high-quality care aligned with Oceania Healthcare policies and audits.
• Assist in implementing a resident-centered Primary Nursing Care Model.
• Build and maintain holistic therapeutic relationships by providing safe and excellent care to residents.
• Contribute to resident needs assessments, adhere to care plans, and assist with care evaluations.
• Collaborate with residents, their families/whānau, and the wider community to support wellbeing.
• Anticipate and respect resident needs and preferences while communicating thoughtfully.
• Lead safety practices ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures.
• Foster a culture of care excellence and pursue continuous professional development.
• Provide assistance to Nurse Practitioners as needed.

Requirements

• Possession of a NZQA Level 4 Health and Wellbeing Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in related roles.
• Experience in private nursing or hospital-level private care services.
• Deep understanding of the ageing process and complex care needs.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Demonstrated compassion and empathy in care delivery.
• Self-driven with initiative and high professional integrity.
