About the Role

We are seeking motivated entry-level Lot Attendants to join Carvana, a fast-growing used automotive retailer in the United States and a rapid entrant into the Fortune 500. This full-time position in Peoria, IL focuses on maintaining vehicle cleanliness and appearance at our Market Hubs while supporting timely deliveries and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction through teamwork and communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical, drivability, or cosmetic issues.
• Regularly wash and vacuum inventory vehicles to maintain optimal appearance.
• Conduct multi-point inspections on newly arrived vehicles, including checking fuel levels, safety features, drivability, and proper display of company and state disclosures.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and external vendors.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and management across departments.
• Maintain regular and dependable attendance.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the past three years.
• Capable of lifting up to 60 pounds independently, including lifting from knee to shoulder height and transporting loads up to 20 feet.
• Physically able to stand for prolonged periods, including frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling in an outdoor environment subject to cold, heat, noise, wet conditions, and vehicle-related fumes or odors.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• Possess excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
• Required to use safety equipment such as face shields or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and other protective gear.
• Frequent driving and occasional typing required.
• Maintain consistent and predictable attendance.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive starting pay at $15 per hour.
• Performance-based pay increases every 90 days through the Careers Not Jobs program, allowing advancement to $16 per hour within one year.
• PTO (Paid Time Off), paid holidays, and a paid day off on your birthday.
