Car Detailer

Role Overview

We invite entry-level candidates to join Carvana as Lot Attendants, helping shape a career in one of the fastest-growing used automotive retailers in the U.S. This position is vital in making sure vehicles at our Market Hubs remain clean and appealing. Coordination with team members to guarantee prompt delivery and excellent customer satisfaction is essential.

Compensation and Growth

The starting pay is $17 per hour, with scheduled increases based on performance at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months, progressing up to $18 per hour. This is enabled through our Careers Not Jobs program, allowing merit-based raises every quarter for eligible employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly inspect vehicles for any mechanical, cosmetic, and drivability concerns
• Regularly wash and vacuum inventory to maintain pristine condition
• Conduct multi-point inspections on new arrivals, including fuel verification, safety checks, and compliance with company and state display requirements
• Build and maintain positive relationships with coworkers and external vendors
• Communicate effectively with team members and management across all departments
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance

Qualifications and Physical Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent qualification preferred
• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for the past three years
• Able to independently lift up to 60 pounds, from knee to shoulder height, and carry loads up to 20 feet
• Capable of standing for extended periods with frequent bending, stretching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling in varied weather conditions and potentially noisy or odorous environments
• Comfortable working outdoors regardless of weather
• Requires excellent eyesight and hand dexterity
• Use of safety equipment such as face shields, goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and other protective gear is mandatory
• Frequently drives and performs occasional typing tasks
• Must adhere to predictable and consistent attendance
