Cafe Team Member

About the Role

Join our cafe team as a dedicated member contributing to daily operations including food preparation, customer interaction, and maintaining cleanliness. As a part of our vibrant team, you'll ensure every dish complies with our menu standards and safety guidelines while keeping the environment tidy from kitchen utensils to tables.

This position offers flexible scheduling, guaranteed minimum weekly hours, and opportunities for advancement. You'll receive at least 8 hours guaranteed weekly with scheduling communicated three weeks in advance. We support flexible working hours within our availability windows and encourage applicants who can closely match these times.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order of kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Serve customers efficiently and courteously.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining accurate daily records.
• Implement first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation for food freshness.
• Manage food deliveries and ensure safe storage.
• Follow all operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare, cook, and present food as per our menu specifications.
• Ensure food availability and maintain quality standards.
• Familiarize thoroughly with the menu and serve items correctly.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and report to the Cafe Manager.
• Stay informed of company communications and new initiatives.
• Clear and sanitize tables to uphold cleanliness.
