About the Role

As a Cafe Team Member, you will be an integral part of creating a welcoming atmosphere while engaging in food preparation, customer interaction, and maintaining high standards of service and hygiene. You'll ensure that every dish served matches our menu's promise and adhere to all health and safety protocols. This role is active and varied, offering flexible hours and growth opportunities. New colleagues are guaranteed at least 8 hours a week with scheduled shifts planned 3 weeks in advance within specified availability windows. Flexibility is welcomed, even if your availability slightly differs, but applicants must be 18 or older.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Serve customers promptly and courteously.
• Comply with food safety and hygiene guidelines, keeping accurate daily records.
• Use FIFO stock rotation to ensure freshness of food.
• Receive deliveries and safely store food items.
• Follow all operational policies and procedures diligently.
• Prepare, cook, and serve food items as outlined by the café menu.
• Upkeep standards and ensure product availability.
• Possess thorough knowledge of the menu and serve items correctly.
• Address customer complaints professionally and report to the Café Manager.
• Stay informed on business communications and new initiatives.
• Clean and sanitize tables to maintain a tidy café environment.
