About the Role

As a Cafe Team Member, you'll engage in diverse tasks including meal preparation, interacting with customers, and upholding both quality and cleanliness standards. All new colleagues are guaranteed a minimum of 8 work hours weekly. Availability windows will guide your scheduling, and shifts will be communicated three weeks in advance. Flexibility is encouraged, and candidates slightly outside the specified availability are welcome to apply. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous customer service.
• Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene protocols, including maintaining daily records.
• Implement first-in, first-out (FIFO) stock rotation to preserve food freshness.
• Receive deliveries and ensure safe food storage.
• Follow all operational policies and procedures diligently.
• Prepare, cook, and serve menu items to quality standards.
• Ensure all food products are stocked and available consistently.
• Have comprehensive knowledge of the café menu to serve food precisely as intended.
• Address customer complaints effectively and escalate to the Cafe Manager when necessary.
• Stay informed on business communications and new initiatives.
• Clear and sanitize tables to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
