About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead and manage daily café operations effectively. This position involves ensuring excellent customer service, supervising staff, driving sales growth, and maintaining quality as well as health and safety standards in the café environment. The ideal candidate will display strong leadership, organisational prowess, and a practical approach to problem-solving within the Food & Beverage sector.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage daily café activities to guarantee operational efficiency and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety according to statutory guidelines.
- Track inventory and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely restocking of materials.
- Ensure all café equipment and facilities are well maintained and operational.
- Supervise team members continuously to maintain high service standards.
- Recruit, onboard, and train staff to build a skilled and motivated team.
- Prepare and optimize work schedules to enhance productivity and control labor costs.
- Promote a constructive work culture, fostering teamwork and employee motivation.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, promptly and professionally handling inquiries and complaints.
- Monitor and seek to enhance customer feedback through direct interaction and surveying.
- Analyze sales performance and employ strategies aimed at increasing revenue.
- Manage costs effectively, including labor, food, and supplies, to ensure profitability.
- Handle cash management duties, daily financial reconciliation, and banking processes.
- Support marketing and promotional activities to attract and retain clientele.
- Collaborate with marketing departments on social media and in-store promotional campaigns.
- Develop relationships with local businesses and communities to boost the café’s visibility.
Qualifications and Experience
- Preferred possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated 3 to 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience within the Food & Beverage industry.
- Strong communication and customer service capabilities.
- Proficiency in Point of Sale (POS) systems and foundational financial management.
- Background specifically in F&B or café services is essential.
