Cafe Barista

Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Cafe Barista passionate about quality beverages and outstanding customer experience to join the Tesco Café team. Whether customers are grabbing a quick refreshment during their shopping trip or enjoying a leisurely catch-up, you’ll ensure every drink served, from coffee to seasonal specialties, is delightful and inviting. This role welcomes individuals with previous barista experience or hospitality backgrounds to contribute their skills and help elevate the team’s expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve a variety of beverages rapidly and efficiently to customers while maintaining high standards.
• Comply fully with all food safety and hygiene regulations to meet Tesco’s stringent standards.
• Monitor and manage stock levels regularly, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the Café Manager to identify and support colleagues aiming to develop their barista skills.
• Stay informed and up to date on all communications, promotions, new menu items, and company initiatives.
• Address and resolve customer concerns and complaints whenever possible to ensure satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Barista or within a hospitality role.
• A strong dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability and confidence to coach and train team members inclusively.
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
• Proactive attitude to identify improvements or adapt to operational challenges.
• Effective communication skills to support team members and management.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
