CAD Operator

Job Overview

We are looking for a proficient CAD Operator to contribute to a significant transport infrastructure and utilities supervision project located in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), Saudi Arabia. The role requires in-depth experience in transport infrastructure and utility projects, with expertise in preparing and updating engineering drawings in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and manage CAD drawings related to roads, utilities, and infrastructure tasks.
• Develop and maintain shop drawings, as-built documentation, and construction records.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, inspectors, and various project groups to integrate design and on-site modifications.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to project drafting protocols, organizational procedures, and quality standards.
• Keep drawing registers current and manage document control systems efficiently.
• Facilitate multidisciplinary coordination involving utility and roadway components.
• Review CAD drawings submitted by contractors to verify completeness and correctness.
• Create plan, profile, cross-section, and utility layout drawings as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in CAD drafting.
• Extensive, specialized experience working on transport infrastructure and utility projects.
• Strong background with drawings related to roadways, stormwater, sewerage, water supply, power, telecommunications, and utility corridors.
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software applications.
• Experience handling large-scale infrastructure development and supervision projects.
• Work experience within the GCC region, preferably Saudi Arabia.
• Excellent attention to detail and coordination capabilities.
