Cabana Attendant

Overview

The Cabana Attendant is charged with ensuring smooth operations, setup, and maintenance of cabanas or private guest areas at hospitality and recreational venues under a global cruise company’s management. This role involves preparing cabanas with all necessary amenities, keeping them clean and orderly, and routinely checking on guests to ensure their comfort and satisfaction. Close collaboration with supervisors or concierges to resolve guest concerns and help with special requests is vital. The attendant also monitors cabana equipment conditions and assists with maintenance or event support as needed to provide guests a safe, pleasant, and high-quality experience.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests and escort them promptly to their assigned cabanas or designated private areas.
• Continuously monitor guests’ comfort throughout the day and deliver requested amenities timely.
• Maintain excellent service quality, promptly address guest inquiries and minor issues, and enhance their visit with helpful guidance.
• Adhere strictly to environmental, health, safety, and sanitation protocols at all times.
• Keep cabanas and surrounding spaces clean, organized, and maintained to established standards.
• Enforce operational and safety policies to guarantee a secure, enjoyable guest environment.
• Report damages or maintenance needs promptly to cabana supervisors and assist with minor repairs or coordinate further technical support.
• Document any incidents or operational challenges for managerial review and continuous improvement.
• Ensure cabanas are fully stocked, prepared, and equipped with all necessary supplies.
• Perform cleaning tasks to sustain neatness in cabana areas.
• Fulfill any additional management-assigned tasks to support cabana operations and boost guest satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Capacity to multitask and prioritize responsibilities efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using data entry and reporting tools.
• Strong attention to detail combined with a proactive attitude toward problem solving.
• Ability to think critically and make decisions independently when managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Excellent planning and coordination capabilities to manage diverse tasks effectively.
• A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; further education in Hospitality or related fields is advantageous.
• Current Health Certificate along with valid First Aid and CPR certifications, capable of quick emergency response.
• Fluency in English with excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with guests, team members, and supervisors.
• Physical fitness with capability to lift at least 15 pounds, endure long periods of standing, walking, and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Full range of motion in limbs with strong visual, auditory, and verbal faculties to safely engage in emergency procedures.
• Stamina and endurance with careful attention to personal and guest safety at all times.

• The role may require shift work schedules depending on the destination.
