Job description
Role Overview
Durlston Partners is collaborating with a premier quantitative trading company to onboard talented C++ software engineers into their central engineering team. The successful candidate will develop and maintain performance-critical systems integral to the trading technology stack, focusing particularly on latency reduction, throughput enhancement, and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement high-performance, low-latency software solutions using contemporary C++ standards.
- Enhance system performance by reducing latency, optimizing memory consumption, and increasing throughput.
- Develop and maintain concurrent and distributed computing systems.
- Work collaboratively with quantitative analysts and trading professionals to refine system capabilities.
- Advance the scalability and efficiency of fundamental trading infrastructure components.
- Manage end-to-end system ownership, from conceptual design to live deployment and maintenance.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven expertise in modern C++ programming and development practices.
- Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and core computer science principles.
- Experience in multithreading, concurrency control, and system performance tuning.
- Strong proficiency with Linux operating systems.
- Background in creating performance-sensitive or scalable software systems.
- Familiarity with high-frequency trading, quantitative finance, or financial markets is advantageous but not required.
- Academic credentials in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other technical fields.
