Overview
We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Sales Development Representative (SDR/BDR) to join our expanding team. The primary focus of this position is outbound sales prospecting and initiating contact through cold calling to establish qualified opportunities for our enterprise sales division. This role works closely with Sales and Marketing to identify and engage potential enterprise clients. Success in this fast-paced B2B environment requires a resilient, curious, and highly motivated individual committed to surpassing goals consistently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-volume outbound prospecting using cold calls, emails, and social selling methods to develop fresh sales leads.
- Research and pinpoint target accounts and decision-makers within large organizations.
- Engage potential clients to discover business challenges, assess needs, and identify areas where Denodo solutions add value.
- Present the Denodo value proposition clearly and introduce our products effectively to prospects.
- Develop persuasive outreach messages and email campaigns to spark interest and engagement.
- Arrange qualified meetings and discovery conversations for the enterprise sales team.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to enhance outreach strategies, message refinement, and lead qualification.
- Maintain detailed records of all prospect interactions and activities within CRM tools like Salesforce.
- Consistently achieve or surpass activity metrics and pipeline creation goals.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 4 years experience in Sales Development, Business Development, Inside Sales, or telemarketing within enterprise software, SaaS, or high-tech sectors.
- Proven success in cold calling, outbound prospecting, and generating leads.
- Strong telephone communication skills with effective objection management.
- Ability to convey complex concepts clearly to senior executives.
- Excellent English communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Highly driven to exceed targets, showing resilience and motivation.
- Excellent listening skills to identify customer challenges and needs.
- Proficient with CRM systems such as Salesforce and sales engagement technologies.
- Adaptable and quick thinker thriving in a dynamic sales environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Preferred but Not Required
- Experience targeting enterprise IT, data, or cloud technology sectors.
- Familiarity with social selling platforms like LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Use of employee advocacy and social media to boost prospecting and brand presence.
- Knowledge of enterprise data architecture and information infrastructure.
Additional Information
This is an in-office position in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, with a hybrid working model. The role reports to the BDR Manager and maintains a dotted-line report to the Regional Vice President (RVP).
Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
