Job description

Company Overview

Veeam Software specializes in ensuring organizations deeply understand, secure, and maintain resilient data and AI operations to accelerate safe AI adoption at scale. As an established leader in data resilience and security posture management, Veeam integrates identity, data, security, and AI risk. With headquarters in Seattle and offices in over 30 countries, Veeam safeguards more than 550,000 customers globally, helping them maintain business continuity.

Role Summary

After acquiring Securiti AI, a pioneer in AI-driven data security posture management, Veeam is expanding its team by hiring Business Development Representatives. This role focuses on generating demand and building a qualified sales pipeline through both inbound marketing leads and proactive outbound efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate demand creation via calls, emails, Apollo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator targeting suitable accounts.
  • Engage with inbound leads sourced from marketing activities such as demo requests and campaigns.
  • Research prospects to identify business needs using AI tools to prioritize promising accounts.
  • Use structured PACCT qualification to evaluate fit, readiness, and urgency for opportunities.
  • Assess opportunity value by understanding budget, scope, and problem scale before advancing in sales process.
  • Accurately document meeting outcomes, only marking those genuinely moving forward.
  • Convert qualified meetings into pipeline opportunities and ensure smooth handover to Sales Specialists with detailed Salesforce updates.
  • Maintain involvement post-handover to assist early discovery, schedule follow-ups, and drive opportunities forward.
  • Collaborate with Sales Specialists and Marketing to set target accounts and develop outbound strategies.
  • Manage and promptly follow up on marketing leads to prevent stagnation, providing structured feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness.
  • Keep precise Salesforce records to support reporting and forecasting functions.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and continuously seek personal growth feedback.

Success Measurement

  • Number of qualified meetings with confirmed next steps.
  • Conversion rate of meetings into sales pipeline opportunities within 30 days.
  • Achievement of pipeline targets including opportunities and Annual Contract Value (ACV) progression.
  • Consistency and accuracy of CRM documentation and opportunity linkage.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of two years' experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Development Representative, or in pipeline generation.
  • Proven ability to transform meetings into qualified sales opportunities rather than just scheduling them.
  • Strong resilience and persistence, using objections constructively and not accepting final refusals easily.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with adaptable listening abilities.
  • Authentic curiosity regarding client needs and business context prior to presenting solutions.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational capabilities and CRM accuracy under pressure.
  • Comfortable collaborating effectively with Sales Specialists and Marketing teams, including prioritization, feedback, and escalation.
  • Advanced English language proficiency at C1/C2 level.
  • Familiarity with the data security, AI governance, data privacy, or compliance markets.
  • Experience using Salesforce and research platforms.
  • Background in technology or SaaS sectors.
  • Comfort and interest in using AI-powered productivity tools and exploring new technologies.
  • Knowledge of account-based marketing and sales tactics.

Benefits and Perks

  • 18 paid vacation days annually plus three additional global self-care days and 24 volunteer hours.
  • Private medical insurance covering the employee and up to four dependents.
  • Life, accident, and disability insurance with enhanced benefits.
  • Allowance promoting physical and mental health and wellness.
  • Access to confidential counseling and coaching through an Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Work arrangement-dependent meal, fuel, and transportation benefits.
  • Daycare expense reimbursement and a safe cab service for eligible personnel.
  • Extensive professional development including courses, workshops, internal gatherings, and unlimited access to online platforms such as LinkedIn Learning, Athena, and O'Reilly, plus mentoring via MentorLab.
