The Senior Enterprise Architect is tasked with designing, documenting, and overseeing the delivery of technical solutions for customers following the sales of Veeam products. This role acts as a bridge between client business needs and Veeam’s technology offerings, ensuring scalable, secure, and standards-aligned deployments. The Architect provides technical leadership, customer consulting, and works closely with internal teams and partners, especially for large enterprise digital transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough technical discovery sessions with clients to understand their IT environments and identify opportunities to enhance architecture using Veeam solutions.
  • Create both high-level and detailed architecture designs customized to client environments, including low-level design documentation and technical specifications for implementation.
  • Develop and update reference architectures to promote consistency and standardization across customer and partner deployments.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation such as architecture diagrams, design documents, and implementation plans adhering to best practices in security, compliance, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define scope, project deliverables, timelines, and resource needs, providing estimates to support planning.
  • Provide technical leadership during solution deployment phases, including assisting with proof-of-concept projects, technical workshops, and resolving complex issues.
  • Support partner-driven implementations, ensuring alignment with Veeam’s standards and best practices.
  • Liaise with Pre-Sales, Sales, and Customer Success teams to facilitate smooth project handovers and successful solution adoptions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor translating business objectives into robust technical solutions and communicate complex information effectively across diverse stakeholders.
  • Continuously assess emerging technologies—particularly in containerization, security, and hybrid cloud—to improve architectural approaches.
  • Contribute to refining internal best practices and technical standards to enhance delivery efficiency and partner enablement.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Extensive IT background including solution architecture or technical leadership experience.
  • Strong expertise in data protection, backup & recovery, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Practical experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and securing containerized environments in enterprise contexts.
  • In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V, cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, plus storage systems.
  • Proven track record leading transformational projects for large enterprises, ensuring the technical solutions bolster broad digital transformation initiatives.
  • Comprehensive understanding of networking, security, compliance frameworks like ISO 27001 and NIST, and IT governance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities for interfacing with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in post-sales consulting, professional services, or solution delivery roles with direct client engagement.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Certification in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
  • Veeam VMCE certification.
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting using PowerShell or Python.
  • Experience managing large-scale IT infrastructure rollouts.
  • Proven independence and innovative approach in work execution.
  • Strong database management skills, including hands-on database administration.

Benefits and Culture

  • Annual paid vacation ranging from 15 to 21 days depending on role level, plus 4 global VeeaMe Days dedicated to self-care and 24 hours per year for volunteering through Veeam Cares.
  • Comprehensive private medical insurance covering employees and eligible dependents, including major medical, hospital, surgical, and outpatient services.
