Position Summary
The Business Development Representative will engage with potential customers who have shown interest in Mitti's offerings. This role involves understanding clients’ businesses and challenges to identify how Mitti can provide value. As one of the first contacts for prospective clients, the Representative plays a vital role in establishing a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an initial touchpoint for prospects interested in Mitti.
- Reach out via phone, email, and other channels to explore clients’ business needs and priorities.
- Ask insightful questions, build rapport, and articulate how Mitti addresses specific business problems.
- Conduct research on companies, sectors, and decision-makers to tailor outreach effectively.
- Qualify prospects and spot promising opportunities for Account Executives.
- Manage outreach activities and pipelines utilizing tools such as Salesforce and Gong.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and peer BDRs to innovate messaging and increase quality leads.
- Participate in coaching, call reviews, and feedback sessions to continuously refine sales capabilities.
Candidate Profile
- At an early stage in career and motivated to build a professional path in sales, technology, or business.
- Exposure to sales, tech, customer service, or fast-moving business environments via internships, part-time roles, campus activities, or previous jobs is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Inquisitive nature and confident in probing to understand operational challenges and business needs.
- Highly coachable, eager to receive feedback and implement improvements.
- Self-driven and goal-focused with a results-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable initiating conversations, making calls, and forging new relationships.
- Adaptable to a dynamic, evolving work environment.
- Experience with Salesforce, sales technologies, or AI tools is advantageous but not required.
