Job description
About Tekst and Our Mission
Tekst recently secured $13.5 million in Series A funding to revolutionize Process Intelligence tailored for the Agentic era. Our platform serves as a contextual layer enabling AI agents to automate significant back-office processes at scale. Prominent clients include Daikin, Colruyt, Mitsubishi, and Nokia. Our goal is to cut through AI hype and deliver tangible automation results.
Role Overview
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be vital in fueling company growth by engaging new prospects and supporting international market expansion. Rather than rote calling, we seek savvy hunters who leverage AI to promote AI solutions. Although our headquarters is in Ghent, this position focuses on the UK market and candidates in the UK or Ireland are welcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and reach out to promising prospects through cold calls, strategic emails, and social selling.
- Craft targeted outreach messages using our proprietary AI-driven tools to customize communications at scale and maintain a competitive edge.
- Lead initial discovery conversations with high-level decision-makers such as Directors and VPs, employing the MEDDIC qualification framework to assess challenges and potential fit.
- Coordinate with Account Executives and Marketing teams to design territory-specific plans and implement account-based marketing strategies.
- Develop thorough expertise in our product offerings, AI industry trends, and company roadmap to effectively manage objections and engage prospects.
- Maintain meticulous CRM records to ensure smooth transitions to Account Executives and provide reliable pipeline forecasts.
What You Gain
- A fast track for advancement into Account Executive or Sales Management positions as the company expands toward 60 employees.
- Participation in a high-growth company with quadrupled Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) over the last year and ongoing momentum following Series A funding.
- Opportunities for continuous professional development through mentorship from senior sales leaders and deep engagement with cutting-edge Enterprise AI technology.
- An engaging company culture offering hybrid work flexibility, team activities, and a dynamic office environment in Ghent.
- Competitive remuneration comprising a solid base salary combined with bonuses linked to performance metrics like qualified meetings and pipeline growth.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- The resilience to persist in a primarily outbound sales context, demonstrating a hunter’s mindset.
- A natural curiosity with the ability to ask insightful questions and an avid interest in AI’s impact on enterprises.
- Outstanding English communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Adaptability to thrive in a startup culture characterized by rapid change and direct influence on strategy through feedback.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in sales development along with knowledge of CRM and sales tools such as Salesforce, Salesloft, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Proficiency in one or more additional European languages is preferred.
Additional Information
While remote applicants from the UK or Ireland are considered, frequent visits to the Ghent office in Belgium are expected to foster team cohesion and collaboration.
