Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to proactively qualify leads primarily among existing Docker users who are likely to purchase commercial licenses. The successful candidate will excel at understanding customer needs, managing communications, and contributing to cross-functional collaboration and team growth.
Responsibilities
- Employ strategic prospecting to identify potential commercial customers within the existing user base.
- Assess the challenges and requirements of prospective clients.
- Gauge prospect interest in Docker offerings and arrange discovery meetings with sales representatives.
- Meet targets for qualified prospects and generate new business opportunities.
- Respond promptly to inbound inquiries related to Docker products and qualify leads accordingly.
- Create positive, value-adding engagements at every point of contact with prospects and customers.
- Collaborate with various teams to relay customer feedback.
- Contribute to team development through mentoring and support.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German, French, or Spanish is advantageous.
- At least one year of experience in a sales role with demonstrated achievements.
- Self-driven, proactive, and results-oriented attitude.
- Strong communication skills across phone, writing, and listening.
- Willingness to develop a thorough understanding of the industry and Docker's value propositions.
- Integrity, team-oriented mindset, and attention to detail.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
What to Expect in the First 90 Days
- First 30 days: Onboarding with equipment, training on sales tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach, and Sales Navigator; learning sales fundamentals including prospecting and pipeline management; shadowing and collaborating closely with management and peers.
- First 60 days: Focused research and identification of target accounts; development of prospecting lists; outreach through multiple channels; mastering product knowledge and sales pitches; adhering to team KPIs.
- First 90 days: Solid proficiency in lead qualification and sales tools; continuous improvement of messaging and processes; readiness to work independently at full capacity.
Compensation and Equity
Expected on-target earnings range from €58,100 to €83,000 annually, including equity participation.
