Closer Conveyancing is a collaborative team from London, Ontario, combining legal and technological expertise to improve the property closing process. Our goal is to modernize and simplify conveyancing for lawyers and clerks, focusing on trust, integrity, and delivering a top-tier software solution.
Role Summary
We are looking for a motivated, organized, and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our Sales team. This role covers the Ottawa region through to the East Greater Toronto Area and Peterborough. Responsibilities include researching and engaging potential clients, qualifying leads, and arranging product demos with senior sales staff. Collaboration with Marketing and Design teams to support campaigns and increase lead engagement is also essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential law firms and customers aligned with our target profile.
- Initiate outbound outreach through cold calls, emails, drop-ins, and other effective methods.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects throughout the sales cycle.
- Qualify leads and schedule product demonstrations with senior sales team members.
- Analyze and optimize outreach scripts to enhance engagement rates.
- Manage inbound inquiries from the website chat platform.
- Maintain detailed and accurate CRM records of leads and communications.
- Provide sales forecasts and update pipeline progress regularly.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing to support and execute campaigns.
- Stay informed about Closer's product updates, industry trends, and competitor activity.
- Travel approximately 25% within the assigned territory to meet prospects in person and build relationships.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of three years’ experience in sales or business development, preferably within B2B, SaaS, or technology sectors.
- Proven success in outbound prospecting and lead generation techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging prospective customers.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain CRM accuracy.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with the capacity to juggle high volumes of outreach and follow-ups.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Nutshell.
- Knowledge of sales processes for tech products and familiarity with real estate or legal-related industries is a plus.
- Background working closely with marketing teams on digital campaigns, SEO, ads, and email outreach valued.
- Experience in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or related fields is advantageous.
