Job Overview
The Business Development Representative (BDR) will play a crucial role in accelerating company growth by identifying and qualifying outbound sales opportunities. This position requires a resilient, self-motivated individual skilled in cold outreach and effective communication to engage prospects and demonstrate the value of Absorb's Learning Management Solution. The role involves meeting daily and quarterly sales targets through strategic prospecting and pipeline development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new sales leads using creative and innovative outbound prospecting techniques.
- Identify and qualify high-potential sales opportunities through rigorous lead evaluation.
- Clearly articulate the value proposition of Absorb’s LMS to prospective clients.
- Consistently meet or exceed outreach goals involving calls, emails, and follow-up activities.
- Achieve pipeline and sales quotas on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Create and implement weekly call plans and quarterly account strategies in collaboration with the sales team.
- Gain a deep understanding of industry challenges and how Absorb's LMS addresses them to effectively engage prospects.
- Maintain accurate and current records in CRM software and actively contribute to team initiatives for process optimization and enhanced sales results.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of professional experience in related sales or business development roles.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently with a strong internal drive.
- Adaptability to shifting priorities and willingness to persevere through daily rejections and objections.
- Skill in analyzing data and using metrics to inform business decisions.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Genuine interest in building a long-term career in SaaS sales.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of proven sales experience, potentially from service sales, field sales, retail, or office environments.
- Familiarity with sales engagement platforms such as Outreach, SalesLoft, or Salesforce.
- Experience with sales prospecting tools including ZoomInfo and Lusha.
- Knowledge of sales qualification frameworks like MEDDPICC, BANT, SPIN, or Challenger methodologies.
