Job description
About Fitness Passport
Fitness Passport aims to make fitness more accessible, enabling more individuals to live healthier and more active lifestyles. Founded in 2006, we partner with public sector bodies, corporate employers, and top fitness centers across Australia and New Zealand to offer members access to a diverse range of gyms and wellness amenities. As we embark on a dynamic growth phase, maintaining an excellent member experience remains our core focus.
Role Overview
This newly created position within our compact New Zealand team is pivotal for expanding Fitness Passport's presence. You will serve as the initial liaison for employers and fitness facilities potentially benefiting from our program. Our business model is B2B2C, meaning revenue generation depends on employee sign-ups, making the quality of lead qualification more important than sheer outreach volume. Qualification involves understanding not only company size or sector but also where employees live and work. Additionally, you will discover and engage new fitness facilities while managing incoming interest to bolster our New Zealand network.
Key Responsibilities
- Researching and compiling target lists of prospective employer clients based on comprehensive criteria, including geographic employee distribution rather than just headcount or industry.
- Initiating contact through phone, personalized emails, and LinkedIn messaging to HR, People & Culture, Wellbeing, and Finance leaders, effectively communicating our offering and arranging exploratory meetings for the Account Executive in New Zealand.
- Ensuring thorough qualification of prospects by exploring their well-being priorities and decision-making processes to provide detailed handover notes, emphasizing lead quality over volume.
- Identifying gaps in our fitness facility network by locating gyms and pools in needed regions, contacting facility owners/managers, and facilitating new partnerships.
- Managing inbound leads promptly, maintaining accurate Salesforce records, and sharing market feedback with Marketing, Network, and Commercial teams.
Desired Profile
- A strong enthusiasm for health, fitness, and overall well-being.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging business owners and senior decision-makers confidently.
- Resilience and a positive mindset to handle rejection and persistently pursue objectives.
- A commitment to learning, openness to feedback, and ability to implement improvements.
- Organizational talents allowing you to manage high levels of activity while maintaining quality standards.
- An analytical and research-focused approach to quickly determine employer suitability.
- Experience within the fitness sector, particularly in relations with gym proprietors and facility managers, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with technology and CRM systems; experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- Up to two years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles; prior experience as an SDR/BDR or within fitness, HR, employee benefits, or public sector sales is beneficial but not mandatory.
Employee Benefits and Culture
Our culture is defined by our values of Collaboration, Growth, Respect, Integrity, and Wellbeing. Fitness Passport fosters a workplace that not only promotes wellness through providing access to fitness facilities but also supports employee health actively.
- Complimentary Fitness Passport membership granting access to thousands of fitness venues.
- Three paid well-being days annually to encourage rest and rejuvenation.
