Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will champion the full range of ELMO’s HR, workforce management, and payroll technology solutions, aiming to expand business within the mid-market segment. Operating with autonomy, this role involves managing the complete sales cycle from lead generation and client demonstrations to proposal creation and deal closure. Collaboration with Lead Generation and Solutions Consulting teams will support the achievement of quarterly revenue objectives.
Responsibilities
- Formulate strategies to maximize value creation and pursue expanding contract opportunities within mid-market organisations
- Conduct customized sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to various client interactions, including teleconferences, face-to-face meetings, and screen sharing
- Develop and sustain strategic partnerships with key client stakeholders by understanding their desired outcomes and consultative engagement
- Accurately document sales activities, lead follow-ups, and forecast pipelines using Salesforce CRM
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and Pre-Sales to execute business opportunities
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of four years of successful B2B software sales experience targeting mid-market companies with 100 to 2,000 employees
- At least three years of experience within the technology sector, preferably with HR or payroll SaaS solutions
- Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of influencing stakeholders across various organisational levels
- Highly motivated self-starter with a goal-oriented approach to developing new business and earning performance-based commissions
- Strong technical understanding of the software sales lifecycle, proficiency in Salesforce CRM, and familiarity with information security and data integrity principles
