Role Overview

We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to join our New Zealand sales team, based in Christchurch, Auckland, or Wellington. Reporting to the Country Sales Manager, you will identify new business prospects, nurture existing client relationships, and contribute to Toll Global Forwarding's continued growth. This role offers a promising career path in logistics and freight forwarding for motivated emerging sales professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within targeted sectors and regions.
  • Expand current customer accounts through consultative, solution-based selling and cross-selling.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their supply chain needs deeply.
  • Support Request for Quotations (RFQs), prepare customer proposals, and respond to bids effectively.
  • Keep CRM systems updated with accurate sales activities, pipelines, and client information.
  • Collaborate with operations and product teams to deliver customer-centric solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Between 1 to 2 years of experience in sales, logistics, or customer service roles.
  • Previous exposure to freight forwarding or logistics industries is highly advantageous.
  • Proven ability to develop customer relationships and identify business growth opportunities.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Eagerness to learn Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and sales strategies.
