Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be tasked with developing and implementing strategic growth plans for delegated accounts. This includes recognizing new technological prospects, building and nurturing long-term relationships with current or prospective clients and partners, and working alongside internal teams to boost revenue and broaden market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep track of the competitive environment, pricing trends, and customer requirements to shape strategy.
- Create and execute strategic business plans with critical partners to meet growth objectives.
- Build and strengthen relationships with significant vendors and clients.
- Provide training, sales tools, and assistance to partners to facilitate effective market entry.
- Generate new sales leads and convert them into business opportunities.
- Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and sales materials.
- Manage negotiation and closing of sales pipelines to comply with company policies and support revenue increase.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, technical, and product divisions to tailor strategies that meet client and market needs.
- Offer feedback to enhance products and service offerings.
- Track business development efforts and analyze key metrics and sales data.
- Report results and adjust approaches to meet set goals.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum qualification of Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or related commercial roles in the IT technology sector.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal capabilities.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills including problem-solving and market research aptitude.
- Self-driven, results-focused with solid project management and organizational skills.
- Experience with CRM systems and other productivity applications.
- Able to operate effectively both independently and within teams in a dynamic setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of enterprise IT technologies and project-oriented sales approaches.
