About Gruve
Gruve is a forward-thinking software service startup that empowers enterprises to evolve into AI-driven organizations. Specializing in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, customer experience, and advanced AI technologies, including Large Language Models, Gruve offers innovative solutions to optimize business decision-making through data. Backed by solid funding and a growing partner and client base, it provides a dynamic startup atmosphere.
Role Overview
We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager focused on growing our footprint in the Cybersecurity sector, particularly through acquiring new enterprise customers. This hunter role demands a proactive approach in direct client engagement and the selling of comprehensive security offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead revenue growth for SOC and MSSP services by managing entire sales cycles including operational workflow design and human resource outsourcing strategies.
- Identify and engage new enterprise clients by articulating Gruve’s integrated security products and services as a compelling value proposition.
- Consult and devise advanced SOC solutions emphasizing Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) and Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) business models for clients.
- Handle all stages of direct enterprise sales from cold outreach to executive negotiations and deal closure.
- Demonstrate the strategic benefit of combining product resale with professional managed services to CISO and CIO stakeholders.
- Manage sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting of both product and recurring service revenues.
Minimum Qualifications
- Over 10 years’ experience in enterprise sales specifically within cybersecurity, including direct product resale and professional services sales.
- Established record of direct new logo acquisition and hunter sales mentality; channel-only or renewal-focused applicants are less preferred.
- Experience in managing complex and long sales cycles independently, without heavy dependence on channel partners.
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity market dynamics, especially Security Operations Center (SOC) functionalities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related discipline is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with global Tier-1 security vendors and reselling leading cybersecurity products.
- Proven expertise in selling Build-Operate-Transfer and MSSP service models to multinational corporations.
- Familiarity with APAC regional markets and managing cross-border client deals within this geography.
- Track record of achieving or exceeding annual sales targets of $1 million or more combining products and services.
- Advanced degree such as a Master’s or MBA is a plus.
