Role Overview
This position offers a thrilling opportunity to join a burgeoning technology business. As a Business Development Manager, you will cultivate new client relationships, secure intricate enterprise deals, and collaborate closely with skilled technical and solution teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business avenues within mid-market and enterprise segments.
- Establish and nurture relationships with CIOs, CTOs, IT Directors, Heads of Infrastructure, and senior technology leaders.
- Create and implement strategic plans for territory and account development.
- Generate leads via outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic account initiatives.
- Lead discovery meetings to assess client cloud, infrastructure, security, and technology needs.
- Craft consultative sales approaches encompassing cloud, hybrid infrastructure, hosting, and managed solutions.
- Collaborate with Solutions Architects and technical experts to tailor customer-specific solutions.
- Manage the entire sales process from lead generation and discovery to proposal, negotiation, and closure.
- Develop lasting customer relationships to uncover additional growth opportunities.
- Maintain awareness of advancements in cloud, infrastructure, data center, and managed technology services.
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants will be consultative sales professionals with a successful history of securing new business, preferably from backgrounds such as MSPs, cloud providers, managed hosting, data centers, system integrators, IT consultancies, infrastructure providers, cybersecurity, or telecom industries.
- Minimum of 4 years in B2B technology sales.
- Strong hunter mentality focused on generating new business.
- Experience with managed services, cloud, hybrid cloud networking, cybersecurity, hosting, data center/colocation, and infrastructure sales.
- Track record of selling to mid-market and enterprise level organizations.
- Capability to engage effectively with C-level and senior IT stakeholders.
- Well-honed consultative and solution-based selling skills.
- Proficiency in managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to comprehend technical requirements and convert them into commercial solutions.
- Commercially driven with an entrepreneurial mindset.
