Job description
About Xploreteq
Xploreteq is a Pune-headquartered firm specializing in technology and cybersecurity services, focusing on cybersecurity, AI governance, data protection, and DPDP preparedness. Operating under ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, it serves over 50 enterprise clients across sectors such as financial services, healthcare, technology, manufacturing, and general services. The company collaborates with prominent platforms including Netskope, CrowdStrike, Menlo Security, Proofpoint, Okta, Varonis, and Forcepoint. As the company expands its sales, delivery, and operational teams, it seeks professionals interested in developing expertise within a specialized practice rather than general IT roles.
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for prospecting and securing enterprise agreements related to security, AI governance, and data protection within their designated territory. This role will operate in close cooperation with a Presales Consultant and the network of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and distributors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a robust portfolio of qualified enterprise prospects in the allocated region.
- Achieve or surpass monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Conduct thorough discovery discussions with IT, security, and business stakeholders to identify needs around security, compliance, and AI governance.
- Collaborate with Presales Consultants to provide technical validations, product demonstrations, and proof of concepts (PoCs).
- Draft commercial proposals supported by OEM/distributor pricing, negotiate deals, and finalize contracts.
- Engage with OEM regional account managers for account planning, deal registration, and co-selling initiatives.
- Represent Xploreteq at partner and industry events locally.
- Keep pipeline data current and accurate in the CRM system.
- Provide transparent weekly sales forecasting to the Sales Head.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Between 3 and 6 years of experience selling IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, or related technology solutions to enterprise clients.
- Possess an active network of contacts who are IT and security decision-makers within the relevant territory.
- Comfortable engaging in consultative sales involving multiple stakeholders rather than transactional sales.
- Strong commitment to disciplined CRM usage and regular reporting.
Preferred Certifications
- Sales associate-level certifications from OEMs, such as Netskope Sales Accreditation, are advantageous and can be sponsored upon joining.
Competencies and Soft Skills
- Self-motivated and capable of developing a sales territory from a modest starting point.
- Persistent and resilient when navigating lengthier enterprise sales cycles.
- Collaborative approach, working effectively with a technical presales partner instead of independently.
Company Values
Xploreteq appreciates individuals who are accountable, communicate transparently, focus on practical problem-solving, and contribute beyond defined role limits. Ideal candidates proactively generate their sales pipeline without relying solely on inbound leads.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Sales Head and closely partners day-to-day with the city-based Presales Consultant.
Application Process
Candidates interested in applying are asked to send their updated resume along with details of current and expected salary, notice period, current location, and a brief account of relevant experience to the HR team.
