Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations and Sales Manager to lead our sales team and manage daily office operations at our Mumbai location. This role involves actively coaching a team of telecallers, overseeing accounts and collections, enhancing customer service, and achieving company targets in coordination with senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Set daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for the telecalling team.
- Conduct brief daily meetings to track targets, priorities, pending follow-ups, and challenges.
- Monitor sales metrics including calls made, lead response times, conversions, and revenue generation.
- Coach telecallers regularly by reviewing call quality and assisting with challenging sales objections and high-value deal closures.
- Ensure fair and prompt lead distribution and prevent lead mismanagement.
- Develop and refine sales scripts, objection handling, follow-up sequences, and overall sales processes.
- Oversee operational workflow from customer inquiry through to payment and service delivery, ensuring smooth coordination between sales, accounts, and management.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures; resolve escalated customer issues promptly and professionally.
- Manage employee staffing, attendance, discipline, and task allocations and carry out training and probation evaluations.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information, company records, pricing structures, and internal procedures.
- Review financial operations including daily collections, outstanding payments, expense verifications, invoicing, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Collaborate with accounting and external compliance advisors to ensure proper approvals and documentation for transactions.
- Control office expenses and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive management reports covering sales activity, customer cases, financial status, employee performance, and operational risks.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- 4 to 7 years of pertinent experience, including a minimum of 2 years in team leadership roles.
- Proven track record managing telesales, inside-sales, consultancy, or customer service teams.
- Strong skills in target management, performance analysis, and coaching skill development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Hindi.
- Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, reporting, and business communications.
- Fundamental understanding of invoicing, collections, payroll processes, expense tracking, and business compliance.
- Leadership qualities including sound judgment, integrity, problem-solving, and accountability.

- Monthly sales and collection targets achievement.
- Fast and effective lead response times.
- Lead-to-customer conversion rate optimization.
- Completion rate of follow-ups and telecaller productivity.
- Customer satisfaction levels and complaint resolution efficiency.

- Strict compliance with company operational procedures.
Management Authority
The Manager is empowered to distribute leads, prioritize daily tasks, approve routine operations within set limits, recommend incentives or disciplinary measures, and escalate significant financial or customer-related issues to the company Director.
