Role Overview

As a Business Development Executive at Generis, you will actively contribute to the company’s expansion by engaging with senior industry leaders to generate interest in our impactful summits. Working within a supportive, dynamic team, your performance will directly influence business outcomes and your personal growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire sales process, including lead generation, initial conversations, handling objections, and closing deals to drive attendance at events.
  • Execute comprehensive sales campaigns across diverse and emerging sectors such as biomanufacturing, cybersecurity, aerospace, and automotive.
  • Initiate outbound cold calls to senior decision-makers, generating interest in premier business summits.
  • Utilize tools like Salesforce, ZoomInfo, HubSpot, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to source prospects and enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Achieve and surpass weekly and monthly targets focused on outreach, lead generation, and new business acquisition.
  • Proactively build and maintain a sales pipeline through thorough research and lead qualification.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, client needs, and product value propositions.
  • Engage in continuous coaching and training with management to refine sales techniques and business understanding.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum one year of experience in high-energy, target-driven environments such as customer service, retail, hospitality, or sales.
  • Goal-oriented and motivated by performance metrics and exceeding targets.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish rapport and engage in meaningful discussions.
  • Ambitious, proactive, and driven to make a meaningful impact from the outset.
  • Comfortable engaging and presenting to senior executives and C-level leaders.
  • Adaptable and receptive to feedback, using it constructively for personal and professional growth.
  • Quick learner with an innate curiosity about new industries, market developments, and business challenges.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
  • Eager for career advancement and committed to professional development.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a notable advantage.

Work Environment and Location

This role is full-time and requires working onsite at our downtown Toronto office, located at 555 Richmond Street West (Richmond & Bathurst).

Interview Process

  • Initial 20-minute phone interview with recruiter to discuss background, goals, and address preliminary questions.
  • 30-minute video interview with the hiring manager for a deeper exploration of experience and motivation.
  • Technical assignment involving lead generation, prospecting, and mock phone pitching with the hiring manager.
  • Final 45-minute in-person interview including team interaction and office tour.
