About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Business Development Executive to drive new business acquisition within the Banking and Capital Markets sector. This position focuses on identifying and securing new clients for Cloud Infrastructure Services through proactive prospecting and relationship building. The role involves shaping and closing large-scale, multimillion-pound deals involving cloud, infrastructure, and managed services.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and convert fresh business opportunities in the Cloud Infrastructure domain.
- Establish and nurture strategic relationships with senior executives such as CIOs and CTOs.
- Develop tailored propositions addressing clients' commercial and technological challenges.
- Manage sales cycles end-to-end from initial engagement to contract finalization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical, commercial, and industry teams to ensure successful deal closure.
Solutions & Expertise
Focus areas include hybrid cloud, cloud operations, managed infrastructure services, digital workplace solutions, end-user computing, and Microsoft 365 offerings.
Candidate Profile
- A highly motivated business development professional with proven success in new client acquisition.
- Experience selling to Banking and/or Capital Markets verticals.
- Background in cloud infrastructure or managed-services sales, preferably within consultancy, systems integration, or IT services.
- Track record of personally originating and closing deals exceeding £3 million.
- Experience managing annual sales targets ranging from £7 million to £10 million.
- Strong network and rapport with CIO and CTO level stakeholders.
- Capability to translate complex technical offerings into persuasive business value propositions.
Compensation & Work Environment
This role offers a competitive base salary between £120,000 and £140,000, with total on-target earnings from £170,000 to £200,000. Commission is uncapped, providing lucrative earning potential.
Work is hybrid based within London, requiring 2–3 days per week in client locations and company offices.
