About the Role
Atlantic Projects Company (APC), a well-established contractor in the power industry, is seeking a proactive and commercially aware Business Development Assistant based at our Limerick office. This full-time position operates Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, inclusive of a one-hour break.
Job Purpose
This role supports the Business Development Team by conducting market research, identifying new prospects, offering advanced administrative assistance, and coordinating proposal development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning proposals and preparing initial RFP review reports for the Business Development team.
- Organize internal proposal kickoff meetings and develop schedules and strategies for proposal deliverables.
- Coordinate with engineering and procurement to collect and analyze necessary data for proposals.
- Serve as a liaison between proposal and execution teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Manage proposal process elements including drafting clarifications, reviewing drafts, and completing pricing forms.
- Contribute actively to proposal review meetings and maintain EPC contract document trackers.
- Schedule and attend weekly internal contract meetings and provide timely updates on EPC documentation and open items.
- Document discussions from OEM meetings related to PIE and Assignment Agreements, offering feedback and revisions as needed.
- Carry out market research, prepare marketing materials, track projects and opportunities, and assist with PowerPoint presentations for client and partner meetings.
- Update and manage APC employee CVs, company and project summaries for inclusion in RFIs, RFQs, and proposals.
- Maintain an up-to-date client contact database to support business development activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, construction/project management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum three years of experience in communication, marketing, business development, or similar fields.
- Experience in preconstruction and industrial or power plant construction is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, especially in drafting proposals and presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a strong quantitative aptitude.
- Capable of handling multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Effective at relationship building and negotiation across various business functions.
