Business Data Analyst

Job Overview

The Business Data Analyst will play a critical role in driving transformation and process enhancements by partnering with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and improve data quality. This role also supports the integration of AI and generative AI technologies, advances knowledge management, and contributes to continuous improvement efforts across the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and document both business and functional requirements.
• Lead workshops, interviews, and discussions with key stakeholders to clarify needs.
• Create process maps, workflows, and define current and future operating models.
• Identify gaps through analysis and recommend process improvements and efficiency gains.
• Assess data quality and assist with reporting, analytics, and generating actionable insights.
• Develop user stories, business requirement documents, and other relevant project materials.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to facilitate solution design, implementation, and change management.
• Support testing activities including planning and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), tracking issues, and securing business approvals.
• Utilize AI and generative AI tools to enhance productivity, knowledge discovery, and business workflows.
• Engage in prompt engineering, evaluate AI outputs, and support knowledge management initiatives.
• Track project milestones, risks, and dependencies, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Drive organizational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in business analysis, data analytics, or related transformation roles.
• Expertise in gathering requirements, mapping processes, stakeholder engagement, and documentation.
• Proven experience with data quality reviews, reporting, dashboard creation, and deriving insights.
• Ability to support and execute testing phases, especially UAT.
• Familiarity with AI and generative AI technologies, including prompt engineering and AI evaluation methods.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and facilitation capabilities.
• Effective collaboration skills bridging business and IT teams.
• Additional proficiencies in gap analysis, high-level design and process mapping, process re-engineering, requirements documentation and prioritization, requirements traceability matrix (RTM) preparation, and workshop facilitation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in consulting, enterprise transformation, PMO, process excellence, or knowledge management.
• Involvement in large-scale digital or enterprise transformation projects.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management principles.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Analytics, or a related discipline. Certifications in business analysis, Agile, data analytics, AI, or project management are advantageous.
