Role Overview
The Business Architect acts as the essential connection between the business vision and its practical execution. This role is tasked with developing and refining the business architecture to ensure strategic alignment across capabilities, processes, products, and transformation efforts, leveraging renowned frameworks such as TOGAF, BPMN 2.0, BAGuild, and others.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and sustain baseline and future-state business architectures aligned with corporate goals and digital strategies.
- Analyze and document business capabilities, value streams, processes, information flow, organizational structures, and operating models.
- Design enhanced future business models to boost operational efficiency and customer engagement.
- Perform gap analyses between current and target architectures and identify improvement opportunities in capabilities and processes.
- Advise on initiatives and recommendations to close architectural gaps supporting transformation.
- Develop governance frameworks, standards, and methodologies ensuring compliance with enterprise architectures and process models.
- Participate in review boards and governance committees to uphold architecture standards.
- Maintain enterprise capability and value stream maps, process architectures, and operating models using industry best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including business leaders and project teams to align initiatives with strategy, facilitating workshops and strategic discussions.
- Conduct impact assessments on strategic, regulatory, technological, and organizational changes, providing actionable insights.
- Capture emerging business demands, evaluate feasibility and strategic alignment, and support business case development.
- Contribute to architectural roadmaps and transformation plans, defining project sequencing and success metrics.
- Mentor teams on business architecture, process management, and continuous improvement, fostering a culture of excellence and governance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields; Master's degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in Business Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Strategy Consulting, or Business Transformation.
- Proficient knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks including TOGAF and Business Process Management methodologies such as BPMN 2.0.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as eTOM, APQC, BAGuild, and ABPMP BPM CBOK.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication.
- Experience in large-scale transformation and digital projects.
Certifications Preferred
- TOGAF Certification
- Certified Business Architect (CBA)
- ABPMP CBPP Certification
- BPMN Certification
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- Business Analysis Certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA
Additional Details
Position is within the Strategy & Transformation business unit at a mid-senior level. The office is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring full-time onsite presence.
