Role Overview
The Bus Driver position is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai. The individual will be responsible for operating buses safely on scheduled routes and customized tours, ensuring punctual passenger transport. Daily duties include pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, following approved routes and itineraries, complying with traffic laws and company safety policies, assisting passengers during boarding and disembarking, managing luggage as necessary, and maintaining cleanliness and comfort within the vehicle. The driver also acts as a point of contact by professionally engaging with passengers, providing basic route or attraction information upon request, and promptly reporting operational issues or maintenance requirements to the team.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience driving buses or trucks paired with a valid UAE or equivalent transferable commercial driving license.
- Expertise in defensive driving and rigorous adherence to safety protocols applicable in both urban and highway contexts.
- Previous driver training experience or willingness to undergo continuous training and certification.
- Strong customer service aptitude with effective communication skills to interact courteously with a diverse passenger base.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Dubai and UAE’s road systems, traffic laws, and basic vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and public holidays, demonstrating dependability and punctuality.
- Experience in tourism, hospitality, or passenger transport fields is advantageous.
- Basic proficiency in English; additional languages spoken by tourists will be considered beneficial.
