Job Overview
As a Builder, you will be responsible for efficiently assembling and manually plating individual trusses by following shop drawings within a timeframe set by your supervisor, ensuring adherence to quality standards for roofs and floors.
Primary Duties
- Interpret and comprehend set-up sheets accurately.
- Correctly position plates during assembly.
- Operate gantry machinery effectively.
- Confirm lumber matches the specifications on sheets.
- Ensure the truss set-up is precise and accurate.
- Conduct daily maintenance on equipment you operate.
- Maintain full crew productivity and efficiency.
- Mark individual trusses when necessary.
- Provide training and guidance to Builder Associates.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proficiency in reading and writing in your primary language.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to read or willingness to learn to read set-up sheets.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
