Role Overview
As a Brewing Technician at our Brewtown Brewery located in the Greater Wellington region, you will collaborate with skilled Craft Brewers under the guidance of the Head Brewer. Your responsibilities include assisting with daily brewing operations focused on high-quality craft beer production, maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of equipment and plant, and upholding rigorous health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate brewing machinery to execute the full beverage production process
- Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of plant and equipment to ensure high standards
- Apply problem-solving skills and continuous improvement techniques to reduce product losses during brewing
- Maintain a strong commitment to health and safety protocols for yourself and colleagues
- Conduct laboratory testing of products as required to ensure quality
Candidate Profile
- A genuine enthusiasm for beer and especially craft beer varieties
- Possession of a tertiary qualification in Science, Food Science, or Engineering-related fields
- Minimum of one year experience in FMCG process manufacturing environment
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility
- Effective communication skills with an ability to collaborate well in team settings
- Willingness and expectation to pursue further professional development, including studying towards the IBD Brewing Diploma
