Utilizing a mobile-first approach, Transacta combines adaptable lending strategies, financial education, and advisory services targeting sectors like agriculture, mining, construction, and trade. Their mission is to enhance financial inclusion and support sustainable SME growth within Zimbabwe and beyond by leveraging fintech innovations.
Role Overview
We seek a proactive and technologically adept Branch Manager to lead our microfinance branch. The role demands hands-on experience in microfinance or digital lending paired with excellent organizational capabilities.
Key Duties
- Lead and develop staff by supervising, coaching, and guiding them to achieve sales targets, comply with policies, and maintain high standards of customer service.
- Manage financial aspects including monitoring budgets, controlling operational costs, ensuring precise financial records, and balancing accounts.
- Oversee everyday branch operations, ensuring smooth execution of loan disbursement and collection tasks.
- Create and execute marketing strategies to attract new clients for loans and deposit services, while promoting the full range of offerings.
- Address customer concerns and queries effectively, fostering strong client relationships and sustaining a customer-centric branch atmosphere.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience in microfinance or digital lending environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and database management.
- Familiarity with mobile data collection technologies.
- Self-motivated, independent, and flexible to operate efficiently within a startup setting.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude, willing to contribute collaboratively across teams.
- Additional advantages include knowledge of offline-capable, mobile-first systems, and experience with Zoho Books or KoboToolbox.
