About the Role
Join Marsh's Commercial team as the Branch Manager in Dunedin, New Zealand. In this leadership position, you will guide the Dunedin branch to deliver outstanding client service and achieve business objectives. You will partner closely with senior leadership to enhance sales performance, nurture team growth, and drive steady commercial success while balancing leadership, client relations, operational oversight, and fiscal responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clear leadership and effective communication to direct the Dunedin branch's activities.
- Manage branch business planning by setting priorities that help achieve targets for revenue, expenses, and trading profits.
- Encourage a strong sales environment by directing renewal, broking, retention, and new business initiatives.
- Enhance team skills through continuous feedback, coaching, performance appraisals, and training facilitation.
- Uphold high standards of client service, compliance, quality assurance, and operational workflows.
- Oversee crucial client partnerships and collaborate effectively with internal leadership, insurers, and other parties.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Established background in branch, team, or people management within financial services, insurance, or a related commercial setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of insurance broking, client service excellence, and commercial account oversight.
- Proven capability in budget management, expense control, and contributing to financial outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable insurance laws, compliance mandates, and quality frameworks.

- Advanced postgraduate studies in management.
- A relevant bachelor's degree.
