Overview
Join a dynamic and innovative team dedicated to transforming mid-market business practices with cutting-edge cloud accounting solutions. As part of the ease Cloud Accounting Services group, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive financial services including bookkeeping, payroll administration, accounts payable and receivable, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll operations for MNP clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare, process, and maintain payroll and related government remittances and filings.
- Record and reconcile financial transactions such as sales, accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable, payroll entries, and Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) transactions.
- Establish client files and contribute to budget preparation and administrative planning activities.
- Perform maintenance, oversight, and reconciliation of General Ledger accounts, including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, intercompany transactions, and uploads from point-of-sale (POS) or other systems.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies or errors, consulting supervisors or engagement partners to implement appropriate resolutions.
- Communicate professionally with government agencies for information requests, assessments, and installment payments.
- Collaborate effectively with clients and team members to build and maintain positive working relationships.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate or diploma in business administration or accounting is advantageous.
- Minimum one year of experience handling full-cycle bookkeeping tasks.
- Familiarity with cloud accounting software such as QuickBooks Online (QBO) and/or Xero preferred.
- Certifications in QBO Basic, QBO Advanced, Xero, or related applications are considered beneficial.
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and procedures.
- Knowledge of sales tax structures including GST, PST, HST, payroll taxes, and corporate tax regulations.
- Experience with desktop bookkeeping software adds value to the candidate’s profile.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers a competitive annual salary range from $45,000 to $52,000, based on skills and relevant experience.
