Role Overview

This position oversees key accounting and administrative functions for multiple clients, including bookkeeping, preparing periodic accounts, reconciling accounts, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, and submitting statutory obligations like PAYG, BAS, superannuation, and payroll taxes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Code and reconcile bank data accurately
  • Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes
  • Prepare weekly and month-end reports, including close procedures and adjustment entries
  • Compile working papers for auditing and review purposes
  • Create monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Assist with budgeting tasks and monitor financial performance
  • Provide administrative assistance, including liaising with clients and suppliers
  • Generate targeted reports and Excel-based documentation
  • Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS)

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of two years' experience in accounting and bookkeeping
  • Proficiency with Xero and MYOB accounting software
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications
  • Clear and effective communication abilities
  • A quick learner with the ability to adapt
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
