Smith Industries is searching for a skilled Blaster to enhance our operations team. This position focuses on preparing, blasting, and applying coatings to tanks, vessels, and fabricated items, strictly adhering to company standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces and perform blasting on tanks, vessels, and fabricated products following safety guidelines.
• Apply coatings using Sherwin Williams epoxy products inside various structures.
• Operate airless and conventional spray equipment proficiently.
• Manage blast media hoses weighing approximately 60 pounds during blasting tasks maintaining consistent spraying patterns.
• Work safely on scissor lifts, ladders, and scaffolds to reach application and blasting areas.
• Disassemble, perform repairs, and reassemble spray equipment if necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience with coating interiors of tanks and vessels using Sherwin Williams epoxies.
• Knowledge of coating, blasting, and painting methods and procedures.
• Competent in handling and operating related equipment safely.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
