Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Bioinformatics Scientist to develop and implement computational analyses involving genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data. This position requires integrating profound biological expertise with proficient programming and statistical analysis to transform sequencing data into meaningful scientific insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute bioinformatics pipelines processing NGS, RNA-seq, single-cell, and proteomics data.
- Perform statistical evaluations on biological datasets and interpret outcomes.
- Design and maintain reproducible workflows using tools such as Snakemake, Nextflow, or similar.
- Present analytical results effectively to biology and product teams.
- Collaborate closely with laboratory scientists on experimental design planning.
- Enhance internal tools, documentation, and data management systems.
Qualifications and Skills
- Master's or PhD degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience in bioinformatics.
- Proficiency in Python and R programming, with knowledge of Bash scripting and HPC workflows.
- Practical expertise in NGS data analysis including alignment, variant calling, and RNA sequencing.
- Experience working with cloud computing platforms and reproducible workflow frameworks.
- Strong written communication skills for clear documentation of analyses.
