BIM Manager

Role Overview

Converra Consulting and Services LLC seeks an experienced BIM Manager or Coordinator to lead BIM project delivery in Qatar. The individual will be responsible for ensuring BIM compliance according to client standards and coordinating closely with design consultants, supervision teams, and the client’s BIM group.

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce client BIM standards, Employer's Information Requirements (EIR), and CAD/BIM deliverable criteria at all phases of the project.
• Develop and update the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), Model Information Delivery Plan (MIDP), and Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDPs).
• Verify that naming conventions, Levels of Development (LOD) and Levels of Information (LOI), classification systems, and file formats comply with submission requirements.
• Conduct BIM quality control checks prior to submissions and manage review feedback to closure.
• Administer the Common Data Environment (CDE), overseeing access permissions, workflows, and version management.
• Integrate multiple disciplinary models and lead clash detection and resolution efforts.
• Lead weekly BIM coordination meetings; prepare clash reports and meeting minutes.
• Serve as the primary BIM contact with the client, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Review BIM deliverables from consultants and coordinate amendments and Requests for Information (RFIs) via the model.
• Facilitate 4D/5D BIM applications and oversee as-built model delivery and handover.
• Supervise and train BIM modelers; compile monthly BIM status reports and key performance indicators.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Between 6 to 8 years of BIM experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a BIM Coordinator or Manager role.
• Demonstrated experience working on Ashghal (Public Works Authority) projects involving buildings, roads, drainage, or infrastructure.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Ashghal BIM standards and submission/approval workflows.
• Proven capability in managing interactions with design and supervision consultants.
• Practical expertise preparing BIM Execution Plans and coordinating clash detection processes.

Required Software Proficiency

• Revit (Architecture, Structural, MEP) and Civil 3D applications.
• Navisworks Manage along with Solibri or ACC / BIM Collaborate Pro platforms.
• Experience with a Common Data Environment such as ACC, BIM 360, Aconex, or ProjectWise.
• Proficient with AutoCAD drafting adhering to Ashghal CAD standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification or training in ISO 19650 standards.
• Experience working with other government entities in Qatar including Qatar Rail, Kahramaa, and Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME).
• Familiarity with Dynamo scripting or 4D BIM integration with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Currently residing in Qatar holding a transferable visa and possessing a Qatar driving license.
• Arabic language skills are considered an asset.
