BIM Coordinator (m/f/d)

About the Role

Join Carpus+Partner AG as a BIM Coordinator to strengthen our Lab+Process department at either our Aachen headquarters or Cologne office. Collaborate with us to develop innovative building solutions that enhance knowledge and support a promising future.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate all specialist models – architecture, structural engineering, and building services – into a consistent overall model with thorough clash detection, completeness checks, and compliance with standards.
• Develop and maintain project-specific BIM execution plans (BAP) based on client information requirements (AIA), and manage the Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Lead and record regular BIM coordination meetings, serving as the central contact point for consultants, clients, and contractors.
• Ensure the agreed Level of Information Need (LOIN) across project phases and contribute to advancing company-wide BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
• Provide support and training to colleagues on BIM methodologies.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Several years of professional experience in BIM coordination, ideally within a planning or multi-disciplinary design office.
• Experienced draftspeople or designers with solid 3D modeling or CAD/BIM construction expertise are also encouraged to apply, with opportunities to be systematically developed into BIM coordinators.
• Proficient user skills in Autodesk Revit and/or Graphisoft ArchiCAD, plus experience with clash detection tools like Navisworks, Solibri, or equivalents.
• Familiarity with open BIM standards (IFC), Common Data Environments, and standards such as ISO 19650, VDI 2552, and the HOAI service phases.
• Organized, independent working style paired with strong communication and coordination capabilities.
• German proficiency at least at B2 level; English skills are advantageous.
• BIM coordinator certification (e.g., buildingSMART, DIN CERTCO, or equivalent) is preferred.
