Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site position in the Greater Patna Area as a Billing Engineer. The role involves preparing and validating bills of quantities (BOQ), gathering measurement data from site teams, and ensuring the accuracy of quantities for ongoing and completed works. Responsibilities include conducting rate analyses, ensuring that billing aligns with contracts and technical drawings, and maintaining detailed records of executed work. Coordination with project managers, quantity surveyors, and finance personnel is vital to enable timely invoicing and payment processing, upholding all project quality standards and specifications.

Daily activities include monitoring cost fluctuations, spotting inconsistencies in billing, and contributing to regular reporting to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in preparing bills of quantities and quantity surveying to support correct measurement and billing processes.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret project data, verify quantities, and detect billing discrepancies.
• Experience handling billing systems to process and track invoices and payment documentation.
• Competence in rate analysis for comparing contract unit rates, assessing cost impacts, and assisting with pricing decisions.
• Relevant educational background such as a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplines, with practical experience in construction or infrastructure projects favored.
• Additional advantageous skills include advanced MS Excel knowledge, familiarity with reading construction drawings, careful attention to detail, and effective communication with both site and office teams.
