Job description
Position Overview
Join a prominent Canadian business law firm as a Bilingual Proposal & RFP Specialist within the Client Development team. This full-time role, based in a hybrid setting between Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, and Calgary (with two days onsite), focuses on crafting and managing proposals, RFP responses, and presentations aimed at securing and expanding client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of proposal and RFP responses from inception to final submission in both French and English.
- Develop and tailor pitch materials to align with client requirements and business opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with lawyers and business development teams to highlight relevant experience and firm differentiators.
- Coordinate with Pricing experts to strategize fees and incorporate value-enhancing offerings.
- Produce polished presentations and proposal documents utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Maintain tracking of pitches, RFP submissions, outcomes, and gather feedback for continual improvement.
- Monitor procurement portals and disseminate new updates or amendments internally.
- Keep proposal-related information current in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Ensure all materials adhere strictly to the firm’s branding guidelines.
- Handle multiple deadlines effectively, coordinating inputs from diverse stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess three to five years of experience in legal or professional services environments.
- Thorough understanding of the RFP and proposal lifecycle.
- Fluency in French and English, with excellent written communication abilities.
- Hold a university degree, college diploma, or possess equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience in preparing client-facing professional proposals, presentations, or materials.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Adept at managing multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- Confidence in interacting with senior stakeholders and contributing constructive ideas.
- Capable of working autonomously while fostering collaboration across multiple teams.
- Willingness to work beyond regular hours as deadlines necessitate.
Compensation and Work Details
- Annual base salary up to $90,000.
- Work hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some overtime as required.
- Hybrid working model with presence required two days per week at an office in Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, or Calgary.
