Role Overview
We seek a passionate Bid Manager/Writer who thrives on crafting winning proposals. You will be accountable for managing the entire bid process from initial opportunity identification through to contract signing, ensuring our submissions clearly communicate value and stand out to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Crafting tender responses that communicate clearly, persuasively, and uniquely represent SouthRoads.
- Managing multiple bid projects simultaneously without compromising deadlines or quality.
- Collaborating closely with estimating, operational, and commercial teams to ensure accurate pricing, risk assessment, and compliance.
- Representing SouthRoads professionally during submissions and client negotiations.
- Analyzing past bid outcomes to refine strategies for future success.
Candidate Profile
- Experience managing concurrent bids within tight timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to make technical proposals engaging and compelling.
- Strategic thinker skilled at identifying promising opportunities and crafting winning approaches.
- Confident negotiator capable of achieving favorable deals while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Strong understanding of civil construction industry trends, competitor landscape, and regulatory environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI; familiarity with estimation software is advantageous.
- Sound commercial and financial insight.
