Role Summary
The Benefits Program Manager will spearhead strategy, implementation, and enhancement of employee benefits plans. This includes managing benefits strategy, financial oversight, vendor relations, communications, user experience, and ongoing program improvements. The ideal candidate balances strategic thinking with hands-on management of daily benefit operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete benefits lifecycle: conducting market research, benchmarking, designing plans, vendor evaluation and management, renewals and negotiation, communication, administration, security audits, and compliance adherence.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory shifts to propose benefit programs aligning with Stripe's business objectives and overall rewards strategy.
- Function as a subject matter expert, crafting communication plans to ensure employees understand available benefits.
- Serve as the main liaison for benefits vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators.
- Identify prospective vendors and coordinate the RFP process alongside Procurement.
- Review vendor performance and oversee contracts in collaboration with the Legal team, ensuring vendor compliance with agreements.
- Collect, analyze, and present key benefits data metrics.
- Collaborate with People Partners, Consultants, Finance, Payroll, Employee Relations, and Legal for a cohesive benefits approach.
- Work with Finance to manage budgets, forecast costs, and evaluate the ROI of current and new benefits offerings.
- Leverage Workday and other benefits platforms to streamline workflows and reporting.
- Partner with People Systems to execute significant benefits initiatives and projects.
Candidate Profile
Required Experience and Skills:
- Between 5 to 7 years of experience in benefits management roles with comparable duties.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and enhance employee benefit programs via data analytics, employee feedback, and financial evaluation.
- In-depth knowledge of governmental regulations governing employee benefits and leave policies.
- Hands-on experience administering pension and time-off plans.
- Proficiency with benefits administration software such as Workday.
- Skilled at influencing stakeholders and contract negotiations with benefit providers.
- Experience thriving in fast-paced, expanding environments, preferably within technology firms or large organizations.
- Capable of independently managing projects, identifying challenges proactively, and seeking feedback when necessary.
- Sound judgment aligning decision-making with company culture and benefit strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading benefits-related change management, including vendor or system implementations and transitions.
- Advanced competencies in data analysis and financial forecasting.
- Prior involvement in mergers, acquisitions, and benefits consolidation.
Workplace Expectations
Employees assigned to office settings are anticipated to spend at least 50% of the working days monthly onsite or engaging directly with users. Certain teams or offices, including the Dublin location, may require full-time onsite presence to facilitate collaboration and user support.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position in Dublin spans from €91,200 to €136,800 annually. This may vary by location and factors such as experience and qualifications. Additional benefits can include equity, bonuses, retirement planning, health coverage, and wellness stipends. Specific compensation details will be discussed during the interview.
