Beauty Merchandiser

About the Role

Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Toronto and contribute to providing health, beauty, and convenience services for your community. This position focuses on excellent customer service while maintaining the presentation and management of beauty products in the store.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize PDT and MMS systems to complete daily tasks efficiently.
• Manage product return and Exit Strategy processes as directed.
• Maintain expert knowledge on assigned product inventory, proper display placements, and expiry management.
• Ensure store standards are achieved regarding product image, trends, and presentation.
• Create product displays that are customer-friendly and easy to shop.
• Strive to meet daily sales goals consistently.

Customer Service and Compliance

• Adhere to uniform and dress code policy to present a clean and professional image to customers.
• Proactively greet and assist shoppers in aisles to enhance their experience.
• Possess solid knowledge of the cosmetics market and demonstrate strong customer service skills.
• Follow all health, safety, loss prevention policies, and store standards rigorously.
• Support other store duties as required to maintain operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong decision making, planning, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic situations on the sales floor effectively.
• Experience with computers and cash registers to handle sales transactions accurately.
• Attention to detail with good record keeping and ability to work independently.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Flexible work shifts including nights and weekends may be required.
• Must be able to lift weights up to 50 pounds and climb ladders safely.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this newly created role ranges from $17.60 to $19.00, influenced by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and geographic location.
