Job description
Overview
This role requires fluency in English and no formal degree or diploma is mandatory. While experience is beneficial, it is not compulsory. The position is strictly on-site, located in an urban restaurant setting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and wash glassware.
- Serve food items or snacks.
- Offer recommendations on drink options to customers.
- Handle payments including cash, credit, and debit cards for beverages sold.
- Keep records and balance sales of beverages.
- Properly store beverage and food supplies.
- Resolve any concerns or complaints from patrons.
- Ensure compliance with provincial and territorial liquor regulations.
- Mix and prepare a variety of drinks including cocktails, wine, beer (draft or bottled), and non-alcoholic options.
- Take beverage orders from both serving staff and customers directly.
